Add and drop enough weekly accounts and the tidy route you started the season with turns into a zigzag. The map shows each crew's stops for the day, so you can see where the loop has drifted.

Multiple crews and trailers across town

Two or three crews running different parts of the city is where drive time hides. Every booking gets a drive check against that crew's last stop, so you can give a new job to the crew that's already nearby.

Catch the out-of-the-way add-on before you book it

The high-drive flag warns you when a cleanup or estimate sits clear across town and would wreck the day, so you can book it for a better day or a crew that's nearer.

How it works

Add your crew

Name, trade, home base, and coverage area for each tech. It takes a minute or two per tech.

Book the job

Client, address, time, and job type. As you book, Navigrate checks the drive from that tech's last stop.

Catch the long drive

If the drive runs past your limit, Navigrate flags it before anything's locked in, so you can pick a better time or a different tech.

Spring green-up and peak growing season are when the calendar is fullest and every wasted mile costs you a property. Keeping each crew in one area helps fit more accounts a day without adding hours.

Worked example: the cost of one out-of-the-way add-on

Say you run 6 crews. On a normal day, 2 of them each pick up one add-on outside their usual area. Each adds 25 minutes of driving out and 25 back.

2 crews × 1 add-on × 25 min × 2 ways = 100 minutes of extra driving a day

100 min × 5 working days = 500 minutes a week, a bit over 8 hours

Your week will differ. One crew, 15 minutes each way, 3 days a week: 1 × 15 × 2 × 3 = 90 minutes. Run it with your own drives.

When you book that add-on, Navigrate estimates the drive from the crew’s previous property that day, or from the yard for a first stop, using straight-line distance at about 45 km/h (28 mph). With the default 25-minute limit, a job more than roughly 19 km (12 miles) away in a straight line gets flagged. You make the call: book it anyway, move it to a day that crew is over there, or give it to another crew.

It’s a quick check, not a road route. Winding roads with a trailer take longer, so you may want a lower limit. See our guide on how to cut drive time between jobs.

Getting your first week in

Set your limit and units

In Settings, set the drive-time limit from 10 to 90 minutes (it starts at 25), and pick km or miles.

Add each crew

Under Technicians, add a name like “Crew 2,” choose Landscaping, and use your yard as home base. Add a vehicle ID and coverage area.

Enter next week’s properties

Book each visit: client, address, date, start time, length, a job type like “Weekly mow,” and notes like gate codes.

Check each booking

Press Analyze Route to see the minutes and distance from that crew’s previous stop. If it’s flagged, change the time or crew, or confirm it as is.

Look at each crew’s day

In Routes, pick a crew and date. Stops are numbered in time order and legs over your limit show in red. On a rain day, open a job’s details to move it or change the crew.

Common questions

Can weekly mowing accounts repeat automatically?
No. There's no repeating-job setting and no import yet. Each visit is its own booking entered by hand.
Do I add each crew or each person?
Add whatever you send out. One entry per crew or truck works, like "Crew 2" with "Trailer B" as the vehicle ID. One crew, truck or person you schedule counts as one technician, and plans are priced by how many you add.
Does it text customers when a crew is on the way?
No. You can mark a job en route or completed on your board, but Navigrate doesn't send texts or emails to customers.
We slow down in winter. Can I pause my plan?
There's no pause option, but you can cancel for the off-season from the Plan page. Your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for, with no prorated refunds. After that, your crews and job history stay and you can still view and edit them, but you can't add new bookings or crews. When work starts again, pick a plan and keep going.
Can I use it from my phone at a property?
Yes. It runs in your phone's web browser, with no app to install. Crew members don't get their own logins.
How does Navigrate estimate drive time?
From straight-line distance and a typical urban speed. It's a fast planning check to catch obviously long drives before you book, not turn-by-turn navigation. You set the limit in Settings.
How long does setup take?
Minutes. Add your technicians and start booking. There's no import yet, so you enter jobs as you book them. Most shops start with next week's schedule.
I'm not techy. Is it hard to use?
That's the point of Navigrate: it's built to set up in minutes, with an in-app assistant if you get stuck. No week-long rollout.
